Several years ago, the local electrical utility, BG&E, replaced a feeder along Shawan Rd. in Baltimore County. They did a GREAT job and I was overjoyed when they appeared to cross over the road right at the point where a beautiful, extremely old tree was located. The tree was preserved in all of its glory since then. Until now.
On Friday I noticed that it had been removed and this morning (Monday), this was all that was left. I stopped and talked with the BG&E crew this afternoon and was informed that the giant had been stricken with something or another on its back side.
RIP old tree. I will miss you.
