In the past couple of weeks I have read two books which you might want to add to your summer reading list.
1. Denialism by Michael Specter which explores "how irrational thinking harms scientific progress" and quite frankly is a substitute for any kind of "real" thinking. For me, it was a great peek into the minds of those 'on the other side' of reality and reinforces my belief that the bell curve is skewed to the left. Click here.
2. Me of Little Faith by Lewis Black. If you don't know Lewis Black, check out some of his spots on Jon Stewart's Daily Show. According to Stewart "Lewis Black is the only person I know who can actually yell in print form." I find him to be the next George Carlin and this book was a great read. (For those of you in the Baltimore area, Mr. Black will be in town in October, I believe.) Click here for an interview.
I often think, 'why read fiction when the real world is even more unbelievable?'
