If you have not read Doonesbury in today's paper, you should. (Click on the title above for a link to it, though I suspect you will have to search for the date in the future.)
It expresses my exasperation with newscasts almost completely. The only thing missing is some comment on all of the ridiculous drug ads that fill the "news hour." These cover every bodily orifice and invariably come with warning statements that would cause you to reconsider suffering the ailment, rather than enduring the not so benign side-affects.
What are the producers thinking? Who do they think is their audience?
