- TEDxChange

As you can tell from the few links to the right, TED.com is one of my favorites. I just received this email and thought I would spread the word: ( For me a change to optimism?)

Dear Global TED Community,
I'd like to tell you about an upcoming TEDx event that we’re all getting excited about here at TED: TEDxChange.

Co-hosted by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and TED, TEDxChange will take place on Monday, September 20, at 11am EST. The 90-minute program marks the tenth anniversary of the Millennium Development Goals, and will bring together thought leaders from around the globe representing government, media, business and philanthropy. TEDxChange will offer an opportunity to reflect not only on the accomplishments of the past decade, but on what we can all do to ensure the health and well-being of future generations.

Speakers include Melinda French Gates, Graça Machel, Hans Rosling, Mechai Viravaidya, with music from the Bajah + The Dry Eye Crew. TED's Curator, Chris Anderson, will be the stage host for the event.

We hope you'll join us for this important conversation. You can participate by:

• Watching the live webcast on TEDxChange.org or TED.com

• Attending an official TEDx Satellite event. There are 80+ satellite TEDx events being held in over 40 countries! Check out the Google Map. These events are gearing up to be nothing short of incredible – from an interactive dinner party in Amsterdam to a pajama party in Auckland, these TEDx organizers know no limits! You can read more about what they’re planning here on the TEDx Blog.

TEDxChange will have a global audience and impact. We hope you'll be a part of it.

Warmest wishes,
Lara Stein
TEDx Director
