It is a yearly ritual I know, but this year pool closing time came early. While I love seeing the clear pool in the summer evenings, the cover just reminds me of yet another summer gone by. I closed it early this year due to the early dropping of the oak tree leaves and the abundance of acorns that are banging the roof and patio like rocks from heaven. This, I am told, is due to the wet weather we have had and I trust that next year the tree will be back to its normal growth pattern. I ducked under the cover last evening for one last dip.
